Juan, Colopano bring home the crown as they compete on Mr. and Ms. Campus Journalists

“Be ready and always be smart”, these are the words that Mr. Santos R. Revilla mentioned during the District Campus Journalism on October 1-2 held at Torrijos Central School which was hosted by Maranlig National High School.

Campus Journalism is one of the most amazing periods for all The Ompsanian journalists. Even though it is their first time to join the journalism they earned many awards.

The search for Mr. and Ms. Campus Journalists is one of the awards earned by The Ompsanians, which they really exerted efforts to achieve the goal they dreamt.

Ma. Madilyn Colopano and Jethro Paul Juan of Ompsa were the champion for the said search.
The participants for broadcasting from different schools served as the masters of the ceremony during the contest. Madilyn and Jethro though pressured and were not really prepared for the contest felt happy and overwhelmed as the crowd rooted for them. Both of them walked elegantly in their rugged attire, malong attire ad in casual attire.

Madilyn won also as ‘Best in Casual Attire’ and Jethro got ‘Best in Rugged Attire’ award. They brought home the bacon with pride and honor. The pageant and the proclamation of their championship has been revealed all over the campus. The feature writer contests interviewed them and write article about their winning.

The Ompsanian Broadcaster composed of Arriane Mae Gonzales, Krystel Jane Grimaldo, Irish Ann Revilla, Christian Paul Fabavier and Jethro Paul Juan were the champion in Broadcasting. They will represent the Torrijos Distruct in Bradcasting in the Division Press Conference.

All participants for the training went home with a smile carrying the knowledge and skills acquired from the trainors.

These young journalists, may they be skilled not only in writing news but also for other good works as believed that “A good writer and broadcaster is always on the go”. Christian Favabier/ The Ompsanian Chronicles
