The Our Mother of Perpetual Succor Academy continuously strives for the improvement of its facilities to respond to the needs of the growing population. This was due to the concerted efforts and assistance from the parents, Alumni Association and the Torrijos Municipal Government for their financial and moral support. The administration building which was constructed in the year 1992 during the time of Msgr. Angelito Leal was improve with the assistance of Arlo Aluminum Co. thru Mr. Emil Pamfilo. The glasses and jalousies were thru the aid of the PTCA and donations from the municipality of Torrijos. Rooms were constructed as well the flooring of the Principal’s Office.

The rehabilitation of the roof and ceiling of the academic classrooms were undertaken through the stewardship of Batch 1986 with the assistance of the OMPSA Alumni Fund.

The construction of the library was made into reality through the donation of Dr. Nilo R. Rosas, Further improvements were effected out of assistance given by Vice Mayor Gil Briones and SB Members Roberto Macdon and Juan Fernandez, Jr.

The 4 seater comfort rooms with lavatories were also constructed with the financial assistance of Mayor Tomas N. Pizarro and the PTCA Membership Fee.

The office of the cashier was improved as well as the Home Economics building through the joint efforts of Ms. Imelda Madrigal and Former Vice Governor Teodorito Rejano by donating cash money and construction material respectively.

The painting and improvement o f the school entrance and fencing of the school campus, construction of the water tank are financial assistance of Mayor Pizarro, Vice Mayor Briones, SB Members Macdon, Revilla, Palomares and SP Juan Carlos R. Pizarro.

To cope with the demand of having computer literacy, the school was able to purchase 12 units of computer and one unit of aircon. The Alumni Association from Los Angeles USA thru the collaborative efforts of Mr. Alfred medina, Mr. Edgar Rosales and Ms. Glicerio Rosas in soliciting donations from alumni in abroad donated a complete set of one unit of computer and baking utensils for the T.H.E. Aurelio Pamfilo, Jr. with the cooperation of his Vice-President, Engr. Floro Pamfilo, Manila Based and Mr. Bienvenido C. Fabul, Torrijos Based and other officers, donated a transformer, one unit of aircon, curtains and cash money of Php 10,000.00 for the installation.

“If you understand, say understand. If you don’t understand, say I don’t understand. So if you don’t understand and say understand, how I would know that you don’t understand?’ is the favorite tongue twister of a new English teacher.

An amiable teacher was born on July 27, 1984 at Lalig Tiaong, Quezon. She is the second child among the six children of Mr. Emilio Cuevas and Edna Marquez. She enjoys playing volleyball, strumming guitar and reading novels specially the works of Sydney Sheldon and Dan Brown. She experienced a great bliss when she entered her first school at the Morning Breeze Day Care Center in Quezon. She completed her elementary grades at Torrijos Central School. She graduated in this Alma Mater with flying colors in 2001. Although, she is more inclined in Mathematics, she pursued her studies at St. Joseph College in Quezon City and earned a degree of Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Major in English. The mentor became part of St. Joseph Academy in Bataan as English Teacher for one year. Presently, she enjoys the company of her teachers in high school.

She is the adviser of I-St. Thomas Aquinas and teaching first year and second year English. Although strict, Ma’am Edz can easily adjust to her students and to the faculty as well.

She live with this guiding principle; “One at a time.”
